Elise Annes is the principal of Momentum. She started this business because she has personal experience working with her daughters, supporting them to be student athletes and guiding them through the recruiting process. This experience, and the pure enjoyment for, supporting and inspiring student athletes and seeing them reach their goals, led Elise to create Momentum.

Elise is also a communications, marketing and organizational development consultant and has worked in this field for more than 25 years. Elise has worked on World Cup Soccer, the Olympic Torch Relay, and helped with he start-up of Major League Soccer’s. Other clients have included Stonyfield Farm Yogurt, Connecticut Public Schools and Yale University office of New Haven and State Affairs. Elise spent the last 15 years on the management team of the Vermont Land Trust, the nation’s most cutting-edge conservation organization based in one of the smallest states.

Elise has an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in Economics and Political Science and an MBA from Yale University.

In terms of her own athletic connections, Elise coached tennis, lacrosse and soccer over the course of her life at the grade school and high school levels and was the Massachusetts Coach of the Year for High School Lacrosse in 1999, the year her girls team lost in the State Finals. Elise was a division III two-sport athlete and captained both teams, beginning as a sophomore for tennis and as a junior for lacrosse. Elise was the University of Rochester NCAA Woman of the Year in 1993, honored for athletics, academics and service.
